PALM SUNDAY

        8:00 – A.M. Low Mass – No Blessing of Palms.

       10:00 A.M. - Blessing of Palms, Procession and High Mass.

 

HOLY MONDAY 7:15 a.m. -  Mass.  

HOLY TUESDAY 7:15 a.m. -  Mass. 

HOLY WENDESDAY 7:15 a.m. - Mass.

 

       DIVINE OFFICE TENEBRAE Thursday-Saturday 6:30 a.m.

       Office  of Matins  and  Lauds of Holy  Week,  at which  the  Crucifixion  is commemorated  by the  gradual  extinguishment  of candles.

 

HOLY THURSDAY

       6:45 P.M. Confessions

       7:30 P.M. - Mass of the institution of the Eucharist and procession to the Altar of Repose in Our Lady’s Chapel. ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT UNTIL MIDNIGHT. (Limited Space)

 

GOOD FRIDAY

       Confessions 11:45 a.m. -12:45 p.m.

       Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday begins at 1:00 p.m., Adoration of the Cross and Holy Communion, followed by Stations of the Cross in the main Church. No evening devotions.

 

HOLY SATURDAY

       Vespers 5:30 p.m.

       10:30 P.M. Solemn Easter Vigil Ceremonies followed by the Mass of the Resurrection. Confessions: 9:15 p.m. – 10:15 p.m. 

 

       All who attend Easter Vigil Ceremonies and Mass satisfy their Easter Sunday obligation; however, Communion may be received only once, either at midnight Mass or the Easter Sunday Morning Mass.

 

EASTER SUNDAY

       9:00 A.M.- High Mass. Confessions:8:15 – 8:55 am

  HOLY WEEK – THE GREAT WEEK

       Although most of the days of holy week are not holy-days of obligation there is no other time of the year when our Faith is so well expressed in the Sacred Liturgy. One should make an attempt to attend all of these Sacred functions commemorating Our Lord's Passion, our Redemption.

 

       NOCTURNAL ADORATION - Holy Thursday:

       Spend some time with Our Lord in the Agony of the Garden at the Altar of Repose until Midnight. 

 

       MALE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - on Maundy Thursday

       We need twelve foot soldiers to step forward and volunteer to have their feet washed in the beautiful Mandatum ceremony of Holy Thursday.  Please sign up in the vestibule.

 

    EASTER DUTY: 

       We Catholics are bound under pain of mortal sin to receive Holy Communion worthily at least once from the first Sunday in Lent until the eve of Trinity Sunday.

 

    DAYS OF FAST: 

       Both Good Friday and Holy Saturday are traditional days of Fast and  abstinence  from meat. 

 

       NO CATECHSIM CLASSES ON EASTER SUNDAY
